• ENCA in the Nederlands**

ENCA Nederland is the Dutch section of the European Network of Childbirth Associations. In the Netherlands is ENCA formed by several organizations working in the field of perinatal care. It is a coordinated organization in which all the participants inform each other, stimulate cooperation and gather all the forces together.

Once a year ENCA Nederland participate in the anual meeting of ENCA somewhere in Europe, where all the countries which are member of ENCA join together. The representatives of these countries exchange experiences and actions in their country and they make plans of action. The Netherlands is often used as an example in ENCA because of the unique obstetric system and the homecare after birth.

  • How is ENCA Netherland working?**

There are two meetings a year with all the organizations that are member of ENCA Nederland. During these meetings they exchange experiences and make plans for actions. The development of the obstetric system in the Netherlands is a big issue. ENCA Nederland tries to protect this system. During these meetings the situation in Europe will be discussed and we try to give support to actions in other countries when needed.
